My day job is software developer at Texell Credit Union in Temple, where I build features for the core banking system in C#/.NET, SQL, Symitar/PowerOn and Azure. I’ve also worked as a solutions developer and bank officer at Allegiance Bank.
Earlier on, from 2020 to 2021, I also did contract embedded work for a cattle company: computer vision with OpenCV, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi automation, and BLE and RFID readers.
Outside of work, I’m a licensed amateur radio operator, callsign NR5P. My main radio is a Yaesu FTDX3000, and I spend most of my time on CW, JS8Call and VarAC.
Self-hosted home security with local AI that looks at the camera picture, plus a family home server for media, files and smart-home devices. Nothing leaves the house.
A CW skimmer for Linux, written in Rust. It decodes every Morse signal in the radio’s passband at once.
Rig control for the FTDX3000 on Windows, Mac and Linux: share the radio with every program and run it from anywhere in the house.
